What is Executive Coaching?

Executive Coaching is the process of working with managers and executives to facilitate self-awareness of issues and problems concerning them in their work and / or personal life. It is a supportive, facilitative process that aims to utilise the client’s existing knowledge and strengths to illuminate their current situation, broaden their horizon and lead them to effective, often creative, solutions.

Issues that may be of concern to them include:

  • Feeling unsupported in their role
  • Not being included in decision making
  • Lack of direction or leadership
  • Communication problems
  • Stress from overwork or too much change
  • Not understanding their role and what they are expected to do
  • The role keeps changing
  • Feeling ‘on the outer’
  • Conflicts with the manager or colleagues
  • Not being listened to
  • Ideas falling on deaf ears
  • Feeling unappreciated at work

Who would benefit from completing this course?

Students currently studying the Diploma of Executive Leadership Coaching come from varied backgrounds including CEOs, senior executives, HR managers, line managers and upwardly-mobile professionals. These students all have the following characteristics in common:
